Features

This machine provides the following performance and features:    
1) With the semi-auto-tuning function, the control parameters are automatically calculated and set during testing. It allows high precision testing without bothering to specify test methods. (This function has been confirmed to work properly in the stress control for the concrete specimens. For some special materials, manual adjustment of the control parameters may be required.)
2) The force display is a large-sized digital LCD (10.4”). An analog indicator is also provided, bringing superior visibility of the change of force.
3) The force measurement is based on the cylinder internal pressure measured by the high-precision pressure cell. This pressure cell provides quick response, enabling accurate measurement of the force applied to a specimen. Furthermore, thanks to rangeless measurement, no amplifier range setting is required. This allows data sampling with a suitable condition even for a specimen whose hardness is uncertain.
4) The control unit can correspond to a high experimental method at once as equipping various control mode with a standard. As passing up to this time, the manual test to use a load control knob also is practicable.
5) With the unit system switching function, the systems of kgf units and the systems of lbf units, as well as the SI system, can be used for measurement display or parameter setting.
6) During a test, an S-S curve is displayed in real time.
7) In contrast to the specified speed setting, the actual current speed is displayed on the screen.
8) With the test condition file function, this Testing Machine improves test efficiency. (Up to 100 files)
9) Dual external analog input functions and dual external analog output functions are provided.
10) To perform a test safely, this Testing Machine provides the emergency stop switch, and the automatic stop function that stops the Testing Machine when control deviation becomes excessive. The key switch for power supply is also provided as standard equipment, helping security management.
11) Various application testing equipment suited for extensive test purposes are optionally available. (Order the application testing equipment when required.)
       (1)The TRAPEZIUM (personal computer data processing software) can be connected. All operations including test condition 
                  setup, Testing Machine's measurement control and various data processing can be intensively performed from a personal 
                  computer.
(2)When the DATALETTY (simplified data processing unit) is connected, statistical processing

Installation Work And Certification

1. Foundation work      
The foundation work for installation of this Testing Machine must be conducted by the user, according to the foundation work reference drawing presented by SHIMADZU Corporation.
2. Power Supply Wiring Work      
Provide a distribution board on the wall of the room where this Testing Machine is to be installed, and provide a switch with the following capacity. The piping and wiring work is executed from the distribution panel to the machine installation shown in the foundation work reference drawings by the user.
The above work must be conducted by the user.
Power supply 3-phase 200-220V 60Hz/ 200V 50Hz approx. 7.0kVA
Grounding Grounding resistance of 100 ohm or less.
(NOTE: For using a personal computer, a power supply is additionally required.)
3. Plumbing      
To use the optional hydraulic fluid cooling unit, water supply and drainage plumbing must be conducted according to the following conditions, at the position shown in the foundation work reference drawing.
Plumbing for water supply
Pipe diameter: 1/2 inch (General-use water pipe with a stop valve)
Required water supply rate: Approx. 10 litters/min.
Water temperature: 30ºC or less
Water pressure: 0.15 MPa or more
Plumbing for drainage
Pipe diameter: 3/4 inch
4. Environment conditions      
Test machines are generally factory-assembled. In principle the machine is delivered in a complete from and installed in site.
Installation Environment      
    1) Do not install the machine in an area where the temperature drastically fluctuates. Maintain a constant temperature within a range 
         of +5℃ ~ +40℃.      
    2) Do not install the machine in an area of high humidity. (Condensation should not occur.)
    3) Do not install the machine in a dusty area.    
    4) Do not install the machine in an area subject to vibration from other machines. An amplitude of 10Hz, 5μm or less is allowable.
    5) Do not install the machine adjacent to equipment which may cause electric e the machine is equipped with a pressure cell of high 
         sensitivity,induction. Sinc a load measuring amplifier, and a recorder, never install the machine near a high-frequency induction
         furnace.      
    6) Do not install the machine in an area subject to corrosive gas, steam, or direct sunlight.
